The Stadium has been designated as a venue for the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar™ (Tournament) and is currently envisaged for group, qualifying and quarter-final matches throughout the Tournament. The stadium, with 40,000 net spectator seats, is designed to meet FIFA standards in Tournament Mode.
